Grand feu miniature enamel brings living colour to a lithograph drawn by Jean DuBois (1789–1849). The dial alone required one month of meticulous hand craftsmanship to complete, notably to test the vitreous pigments, which change colour during the repeated firings that lend the painting its rich depth.
